Do you have tasks that you know you need to do but just don’t get around to doing?
You know those tasks that are hard to do, or you just don’t want to do them for whatever reason…. And trust me, we can all come up with reasons and excuses as to why we don’t need to do something that we really know we need to do!
Brian Tracy in his book Eat That Frog refers to those tasks, the tasks we know we need to do but don’t always want to do as “frogs” and the analogy is this……. imagine if you were starving hungry, literally about to die from starvation and someone offered you a plate of delicious food but on that plate was a frog. You can only have the plate of delicious food if you commit to eating the frog. When should you eat the frog?
FIRST! Because once you have eaten the frog you can enjoy the rest of the meal.
By eating your frogs first thing in the morning you are going to get the important things done and you are going to make rapid progress towards achieving your goals.
You might be asking what happens if I have more than one frog? That’s OK eat the ugliest one first!
Commit to “eating” at least one “frog” each day.
